Barry Slayford, Chairman of Croydon round Table Inventors Club recently issued this warning, which we wholeheartedly endorse:-
"Beware, Invention Promotion Companies from the USA and UK are again fleecing would be Inventors. They do this by targeting inventors directly when your Patent is published or by Google adverts when you type in Invention keywords. To start with they will send you an Inventor pack, the first charge is normally about £500, then anything up to £20k. They tell you everything you want to hear, your invention is fantastic and they can help you make lots of money. They will do a search of existing databases but only show you what they want to! You are better off to use reputable patent agents or the services of the British Library, Business and IP Centre or attend an Inventor Club."
