UK Innovation Up

The UK is filing more international patent applications (PCTs) than ever before! The number of PCTs filed last year worldwide grew by 4.5%, but the number from the UK grew by 9%. We think this is because the importance of IP is now more widely understood by British industry and because of the Patent Box benefits in reduced corporation tax.
