Beware of Request for Payment

Most experienced IP rights holders will be aware that the UK Intellectual Property Office, together with most other large IP offices, include various warnings in its literature and on its website about firms purporting to publish and/or register patents and trade marks, and charging a premium for doing so. This week, the IPO published news that they have succeeded in a passing-off action against two of the most blatant offenders.
